All sales are final. Once a purchase is completed, we do not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges except as set forth below in Section 4.
By making a purchase at Paula’s Jewelry, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
2. Disclosure & Visibility
We maintain this policy in a clear, conspicuous manner in our store:
A printed notice is displayed at or near the point of sale.
The policy is included on each sales receipt or invoice.
Our sales staff inform customers of this policy prior to purchase. This ensures compliance with Massachusetts requirements that return/refund policies be clearly disclosed.
3. Scope
This policy applies to all items purchased at Paula’s Jewelry, whether in-store or custom-ordered, unless a different written policy is explicitly provided at time of sale.
4. Exceptions — Defective Goods & Warranties
Notwithstanding Section 1, Massachusetts law requires that defective merchandise must still be addressed by the seller. Accordingly:
If a purchased item is found to be defective (i.e., it fails to perform as designed or has a defect not disclosed at time of sale), you may return it for repair, replacement, or refund.
You must notify Paula’s Jewelry within a reasonable time of discovering the defect, show proof of purchase, and return the item in substantially the same condition.
This exception does not apply merely because you changed your mind, don’t like the item, or want a different size/design.
5. Custom Orders / Special Services
Items that are manufactured or ordered specifically for you (custom size, engraving, special design, etc.) are strictly non-returnable and non-exchangeable, except for defects as described in Section 4.
6. Refunds
Except for the exception in Section 4 (defective goods), no cash refunds will be issued under this policy. All sales are final.
7. Transaction Errors / Cancellations
In the event of a pricing error, mis-ringing, or other mistake by Paula’s Jewelry, we reserve the right to cancel the sale, correct the error, or offer a refund at our discretion. If you believe an error has been made, please contact us immediately.
8. Proof of Purchase
Your purchase receipt or invoice constitutes proof of purchase and is required for any claim under Section 4. We encourage you to retain your receipt.
9. Applicable Law & Consumer Protection
This policy is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Under the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act (Chapter 93A) and related law, any return/refund policy must be clearly disclosed and cannot override a consumer’s right to remedy defective goods.
By clearly posting this policy and notifying you at time of purchase, Paula’s Jewelry intends to comply with Massachusetts requirements for return/refund disclosures.
10. Policy Changes
Paula’s Jewelry reserves the right to update or modify this policy at any time. The version posted at time of purchase (on your receipt) is the version applicable to that sale.
